House concerts are a great way to treat yourself and build community. I love having the opportunity to connect with people in such an intimate setting. Together we can create a magical experience for you and your guests. Here are a few things to think about if you're interested in scheduling a house concert with me.
Create your own listening room.
Hosting a house concert is a great way to foster community and deepen connections with your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family. You get to plan a great party (tailor your guest list, make a plan for food and drinks, set up some chairs, etc.) and I'll play my original music, tell stories and make your guests feel like VIPs. In this setting, guests gather around to focus in and listen (there will be time for mingling before and after the show).
Part concert, part guided meditation.
This is a chance for you to go inward and follow the music on your own emotional journey. I play some "regular" songs and build meditative loops using key phrases from my songs. Attendees are invited to meditate, sit, stand, lay down, do self-guided movement or otherwise make themselves comfortable. Any applause or feedback is held to the end because I want you and your guests to abandon your conscious mind for a bit. This is YOUR journey.
If you're interested in hosting a house concert, I'd love to schedule a video call with you.
On the call, we will:
✓ Brainstorm possibilities for your concert
guest list, location, food, decorations, etc.
✓ Discuss pricing options based on your vision, location and dates
plan for $500 minimum plus lodging and travel
(guest donations can help cover costs)
✓ Answer any questions you might have
your role as a host
my role as musician and event guide
how to set up the room
how to prepare guests for the experience
meditation vs traditional concerts
The beauty of the house concert is that each experience is unique. Let's get started planning yours.
